PSP Board of Directors Changes

The PSP’s recent AGM saw the addition of three new board members: showrunner Damon Vignale, the CMPA’s Jason Lee, and screenwriter Ryan Atimoyoo.
Damon Vignale was most recently a co-executive producer and writer on Allegiance; he is also known for his work on the hit crime-drama series Motive, the Emmy nominated 19-2, and the critically acclaimed Blackstone. As Managing VP of the CMPA’s BC Producers Branch, Jason Lee manages the day-to-day operations of the BC Branch and oversees industrial relations activities. Ryan Atimoyoo is an award-winning Cree writer and alumnus of the PSP’s Scripted Series Lab. He is currently a Writer and Consulting Producer on SkyMed Season 4, having served as Executive Story Editor on SkyMed Seasons 2 and 3.
“We look forward to benefiting from the perspectives and expertise of these three new board members as we build on the successes of the Pacific Screenwriting Program,” commented Board Chair, Brian Hamilton.
Three longstanding PSP board members also stepped down at the February AGM: the CMPA’s COO Liz Shorten, showrunner Susin Nielsen, and screenwriter Todd Ireland.
“I am very thankful for the time and dedication of the three departing board members,” said Hamilton. “I particularly want to express my gratitude for the work of Liz Shorten, one of PSP’s founders, who is stepping down after well over a decade of service on behalf of the organization. Without her tireless commitment to building capacity in the BC screenwriting community, the PSP would not be having the impact that it is today in Western Canada.”
The new board members join the existing board team of Anna Archer (Lucas Talent), Robert C. Cooper (showrunner), Brian Hamilton (Omnifilm Entertainment), Erin Haskett (Lark Productions), David Jol (Chandler Fogden Lyman Law), Robin Mirsky (Rogers Group of Funds), Bob Wong (Creative BC), and Danielle Woodrow (Netflix).
